Spring/Summer 2011 Trends

January is nearly over, which means winter will soon come to it’s bitter end and it will be time to put away all the Camels and Greys to make room for the explosion of colour’s and patterns for spring/summer.

So here is a quick run down of the trends you have to look forward to for the upcoming season.

Bright, Bold and Clashing colour’s:

Get your sunnies ready Spring/Summer is looking to be a bright one. Standout colours dominated the catwalks and came out by far as the biggest trend. Designers threw all previous colour wheel rules out of their studio windows and put clashing colours at the height of fashion. There was a particular focus on Tangerines across the collections and a sea of Blues also swept the catwalks.

Nudes and Pastels:

If bold colours and deep tones are not quite your thing, nothing to worry about nude tones and pastel shades also made a big statement in the spring/summer shows. Light colours and fabrics will be the perfect way to keep cool in the heat of the summer.

Ballerina Pleats and Long Flowing Fabrics:

Femininity is powerful next season. Sharp pleats put a modern twist onto English Classics and Flirty Frills keep spring fashions young as well as fun.

The little White Dress:

Put your LBD to the back of your wardrobe Summer is all about the LWD.
