Late shift tour…

On Friday evening I attended the ‘Snapped’ exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery. From 6-10 the gallery opened to show case a more diverse side of fashion.
The brain child of Model Erin O’Connor, ‘All Walks Beyond the Catwalk’ was created to celebrate and encourage greater diversity in the fashion industry and a wider perspective on beauty. renowned photographer Rankin (www.rankin.co.uk) was commissioned to create the 9 portraits showing dresses created by some of London’s most credited designers on models ranging between the ages of 18 – 80 of varying sizes.
I brought my camera along but was quickly told to put it away by scary security guards as visitors were not allowed to take pictures, but here’s what I managed to snap before I was told off.
Amira Ahmed wears Osman Yousefzada

Valerie Pain wears Antonio Beradi

Naomi Shimada wears Hussein Chalayan

Marte Boneschansker wears Betty Jackson

3 of the portraits I didn’t have the chance snap
