Modern Romance

For Spring/Summer let out your inner girly girl, for too long now she has been hiding behind the boyfriend look, so it is now time for her to make a statement. One of the biggest combination trends for this season is ‘Romance’ and no I don’t mean hearts, doves and smooching on a picnic blanket with your significant other, I’m talking about beautiful clothes that make you feel comfortable, sexy and feminine.

This trend combines several mini trends. Take long flowing fabrics, like those at Lanvin and Pucci. The nude tones and pretty pleats at Chloe or the pure whites at Alexander Wang. Light, loose layers of chiffon, soft fabrics, floral patterns, frills, lace and pastel colours all paired with sandals or ballet flats.

For a modern twist throw a leather biker jacket over a long chiffon dress. Or put a loose white silk blouse over skinny jeans with some clunky platforms. Combine juxtaposing materials like lace and leather or knits and chiffon’s to ease yourself into this trend and capture the spring season.

Heres where you can get the ‘Romantic’ look.
