Best Dressed from the Met Ball 2011.

Last Monday’s Met Ball in New York was a tribute to the house of the late Alexander Lee McQueen and here are my pics for the best dressed of the night. Unfortunately the red carpet didn’t bring too much excitement to my eyes most of the dresses were either boring, terrible or looked terrible on the star in question. Even guest of honor Sarah Burton left me disappointed with her gown after show casing such amazing design talent with Kate Middleton’s wedding dress and that of her maid of honour, but I’m not going to concentrate on the fashion faux pas, let’s get to the good stuff!

My girl crush Blake Lively looked amazing dangling on the arm of Karl Lagerfeld in Chanel.

Diane Kruger stunned in a sexy and revealing Jason Wu number.

Gwyneth Paltrow looked beautiful as always in a simple and elegant Stella McCartney Dress

And then came the models who naturally looked like those girls on the covers of magazines we all long to look like.

English hottie Rosie Huntington-Whiteley sizzled in Burberry. Chanel Iman looked the definition of sophisticated glam in D&G and highest earning supermodel Gisele Bunchen even managed to get away with a 2005 red McQueen number in celebration of the late designer.

As for Lilly Donaldson in Erdem and Miranda Kerr in Marchesa well, don’t they look just lovely!?
