Week 1: Style Factor.

The news that Cheryl Cole and Danni Minogue will no longer be on the cutting X Factor judging panel hit me, among other pretty hard! “Who’s outfits am I going to judge every Saturday night????” I hear you scream!

Worry not X Factor have got some fresh fashionistas lined up. Tulisa Contostavlos of N-Dubz and former Destiny’s Child Kelly Rowland!

The wardrobe battle began today at the first auditions of the season in Birmingham.

Tulisa posed on the red carpet in a loose fitted, lip print DKNY jumpsuit oozing old school glamour with her hair up and bright red lipstick. Already there have been comparisons made of her outfit to pj’s and comments about the young star looking frumpy in comparison to Kelly Rowland. Personally I think Tulisa looks great, the jumpsuit is on trend for spring/summer and the lip print shows that she can have fun with fashion as well as her young, quirky personality.

Kelly Rowland went a little more daring with her debut judging outfit, donning the red carpet in a yellow crochet crop top paired with a black mini skirt and sky-high Louboutin’s.

I think the look is fashion forward incorporating two trends, colour blocking and the return of the crop top, done correctly with just the midriff on show and the belly button hidden far away.

It is still too early to judge who will win this years X Factor fashion face off. Although this week Kelly’s look is more modern than Tulisa’s you never know who will wear what next.

Who’s outfit do you prefer? Let me know.
