Due to a recent busy schedule I am aware that I missed out on bringing you, my lovely, loyal reader some of fashions most talked about gossip. So I have decided to dedicate this post to catching you up with all the latest news.
First things first, the news that Kim Kardashian is suing US brand Old Navy for using a look-alike for their campaign in the form of actress and singer Melissa Molinaro, exploded all over the gossip mags over the last couple weeks. In my opinion this must mean that Kim K has far too many people planning her fast approaching wedding as she clearly has too much time on her hands, either that or Kim’s just upset Melissa got the pay check and not her, they do say that this is the best form of flattery! To me Molinaro looks more like Kim’s BFF Brittny Gastineau anyway, no?

Don’t stress Kim, you are still hotter and your butt is still more famous.
Secondly. Mother to the most stylish toddler in Hollywood, Katie Holmes launched her own line, Holmes & Yang in one of UK’s biggest department stores and my personal favourite (…….no offence Selfridges) Harvey Nichols! I guess she wanted to remind us all that she is in fact the reason that Suri Cruise is so fashion savvy despite what all the magazines are saying. Katie looked the epitome of easy chic as she posed with her design partners stylist Jeanne Yang and designer Heather McQuarrie at the launch party. She wore skinny jeans, a loose cream blouse with a cropped sleeve corduroy jacket and silk shoes to match.
Thirdly. A week can’t go past without some sort of RHW style news. Film critics have been less than impressed by her acting performance in the new Transformers film, however until now no one could criticize her style, but as she stepped out onto the red carpet for the film premier in Osaka it appeared that gravity had got the better of her. The silk material and plunging neckline should have been the making of a very sexy /chic look when added to Miss Huntington-Whiteley however, this appeared a little frumpy and completely hid her gorgeous Victoria Secret body. Come on Rosie you can do better than that.
Four. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer made the leap from model to designer and has come out with a capsule collection of luxury knitwear which is being launched on Net-a-Porter. She has said that her collection is “very casual, chic and effortless. You don’t have to think What am I going to wear this with.” Think baggy knits and slouchy cardigans. Perfect for Stylish winter comfort and hey, if its good enough for Claudia, its good enough for me.
And lastly Tom Ford’s first woman’s wear collection has finally become available for the first time in the UK exclusively at Harrods. Where else would you expect the man who made a mega brand out of Gucci to launch his solo collection??? Ford doesn’t want to be reviewed which is why he only invited very few press to his show and why there are so little images available of the garments. This is because he wants ‘his woman’ to be able to create her own collections of what is best suited to them and also “not be criticized for not doing a new skirt shape if last seasons skirt shape still looks great.” The collection is said to have a ‘familiar Ford glamour, with killer cocktail wear, leg lengthening trousers and angular tuxedo jackets.’ I can’t wait to see more!
If you have been recently detached from the world of fashion, I hope this has helped to catch you up. Also make sure to look out for the return of FW’s look of the week this Thursday.
